On May 4 2012, SAS will introduce a number of changes to it's Eurobonus program. One of the most important changes is the way that Eurobonus members earn points on flights in Economy class. As a celebration of Eurobonus 20th anniversary, SAS will allow EuroBonus members to enjoy 100% point earnings on all Economy class tickets. Furthermore, you can now reach Gold status with 50 000 Basic points. There are two ways to become a Eurobonus Gold member: either by earning a certain number of points or by taking a certain number of one-way trips during your membership year. From May 4, you will be able to reach Gold status when you have earned 50 000 Basic points or when you have taken 50 one-way trips (regardless of booking class) within your personal qualification period.
